There are two ferry crossings to get to Hornby Island and the last connecting ferry leaves Denman Island at 6pm each day except Fridays which is at 9:30pm. Once on Denman, drive 10 minutes to the Hornby Island ferry which is a smaller ferry. Weekends and holidays can be very busy so expect overloads and travel delays.
If you hadn’t expected to spend much time on Hornby during the fall/winter, you’ll change your tune once you’ve experienced a cozy day with the fire going, a cup of tea and a good book in the living room.
